10 Underseen Vampire Movies To Fill The True Blood Hole In Your Life
2. Fright Night
Before you start - no, this isn't the one with Colin Farrel and Anton Yelchin. Not that the recent remake was a particularly bad film in any respect (except for perhaps the casting), but it just didn't seem to have any fangs. The 1985 original, in which a teenage boy is suspicious of his new neighbour BECAUSE HE'S A FREAKING VAMPIRE, on the other hand, is full of a gleeful, terrifying electric bite that the remake can't even compare to. Everything about the film tells you exactly how much everyone involved wanted to make this film: the palpably enthusiastic performances from the leads, the grotesquely awesome vampire make-up (the villain in Fright Night is notable for having a mouth literally bursting with jagged fans as opposed to the usual two pointy ones) and the giddy camerawork that make it feel as if the action's about to burst into your living room all contribute to one of the funnest and funniest vampire movies out there.
