10 Unexpected Movie Deaths That Came Out Of NOWHERE

8. Vincent Vega - Pulp Fiction

John Travolta's Vincent Vega was easily one of the most colourful characters to stand out in a film filled to the brim with colourful characters, which made his sudden demise just over halfway through all the more shocking to see when Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction was first released to the public in 1994.

A hitman under Marsellus Wallace and one half of the Vega-Winnfield partnership, Vega joins up with his boss to help take down Bruce Willis' Butch and the two of them begin a stakeout in his apartment. Wallace leaves to get coffee and donuts, Vega leaves his gun out on the side before answering nature's call, Butch enters the home, picks up the gun and launches a tirade of bullets into Vega when he comes out of the bathroom.

It is such a mind blowing series of events that honestly wouldn't have worked in many films out there. Most films aren't as wildly out there as Pulp Fiction however.

Some people might claim that Tarantino had intentionally dropped a couple hints of Vega being a little bit too careless before meeting Butch, however there's no way anyone could have seen his death coming so soon in the film.
