9. Dr. Gordon's Foot (Saw)
In the first Saw movie, thanks to the scheming and devious villain John "Jigsaw" Kramer, Dr. Lawrence Gordon wakes up shackled to a pipe in a grimy industrial bathroom, with another man (Adam) in the same predicament on the opposite side of the room. By listening to a tape in the middle of the room, Lawrence learns that he has to kill Adam by 6:00am if he wishes to escape, also learning that his wife and daughter's lives are at stake as well. After a series of events which lead to the two men flipping between wanting to kill each other and faking the death of Adam to allow them both to escape, the two men run out of time and Lawrence, who is desperate to save his family, cuts through his leg to free himself, amputating his own foot.
