10 Unintentionally Funny Moments In Harry Potter
6. Voldemort Touches Harry’s Forehead – The Goblet Of Fire
The graveyard scene in The Goblet of Fire is well executed for the most part. It’s scary, gory, and has plenty of emotional resonance towards the end.
Unfortunately, Ralph Fiennes’ debut as Voldemort is tarnished by the strange noises he makes when touching Harry’s forehead. Indeed, he sounds as if he’s having some sort of fit or seizure as he pushes his forefinger harder and harder into Harry's skin.
The weird facial expressions make this moment even more comedic. Voldemort’s look of pleasure and his dilating tongue give him the appearance of a total maniac which is completely averse to the darkness of the surrounding environment.
How the Death Eaters didn’t burst out laughing at their master’s strange behaviour is anyone’s guess.
