Sometimes, there are moments in movies that are so bad it’s hard to believe they weren’t removed at some point.

After nearly falling to her death, Mary Jane is treated to a ride around the city with Spider-Man. Initially, there’s nothing wrong with this scene, but when the audience is given a close up of the couple, it’s immediately clear Kirsten Dunst is holding onto a mannequin, not a real person. Almost two decades on from the film’s release, it’s fair to say such a misstep is painfully obvious and outdated.

Given how many great stunts were done throughout the trilogy, it’s strange no one thought to use a stuntman for this scene. Still, as dated as this moment is, at least it gives the audience something to laugh at.
