10 Unintentionally Hilarious Moments In Horror Movies

8. The Roaring Shark - Jaws: The Revenge

House Of The Dead
Universal Pictures

Jaws: The Revenge focuses on Ellen, the wife of Martin Brody, who was the protagonist in the original film. After her son is killed by a great white at Amity Bay, Ellen and her family head to the Bahamas. After several days of peace, Ellen learns that the shark that devoured her son has followed her from the United States to kill the rest of her family.

As stupid as that sounds, nothing can prepare the viewer for the ending. As Ellen and her friends track the shark down, one sailor places a bomb in the beast's mouth, which can be triggered by electrical impulses. When Ellen's other son activates the electrical impulse, the leviathan bursts out of the ocean with a deafening roar before it explodes.

There's just one problem. Sharks... don't have lungs or vocal cords. SO HOW IS IT ROARING? Through its gills?! This is meant to be the climax of an epic battle and yet, you can't help but laugh at this basic biological fail.

It's also worth mentioning that the roar sound effect is from a Tom & Jerry cartoon. No, I am not joking.
