10 Unlikely Film Cameos From Punk & Nu-Metal Musicians

1. Linkin Park's Chester Bennington - Saw 3D

There weren't many times when the late Chester Bennington was involved in something and didn't steal the show, and his cameo in Saw: The Final Chapter - aka Saw 3D - is no different.

Evan, portrayed by Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, finds himself glued to the seat of a car and has 30 seconds to free himself and save his partner and friends. The group are being punished for their racist ways, with the Jigsaw killer chillingly proclaiming that their redemption can be sought by them seeing that we're all the same colour on the inside.

Bennington was a huge fan of the Saw series and actually got the part due to one of his bandmates simply telling their neighbour how much Chester loved the movies. Fortunately, that neighbour was Saw franchise producer Mark Burg - and Bennington got to fulfil his dream by being placed in one of the iconic traps.

"It was really cool. At one point, I was filming a part of the scene, and my wife was watching, and we're both huge fans... So, she's watching, and when we're filming this particular scene, she actually almost threw up. So I knew that we were doing something right if it made her want to puke."

Bennington also appeared in Crank and Crank: High Voltage, but his brief cameo in Saw lives long in the memory due to its sheer gore and brutality, and remains one of the movie series' most iconic scenes despite coming seven films in.
