10 Unlikely Film Cameos From Punk & Nu-Metal Musicians

5. The Offspring - Idle Hands

While blink-182's Tom DeLonge appears as a store clerk in 1999 flick Idle Hands, The Offspring's Dexter Holland might just upstage him.

The horror-comedy stars Jessica Alba and Seth Green, and revolves around the life of a stoner teen whose hand - yep, that's right - goes on a killing spree after being removed from his body. Again, yep.

While DeLonge's cameo is blink-and-you'll-miss-it, Dexter Holland's is anything but.

Initially, we see The Offspring on stage doing the traditional prom night in a teen movie pop punk band performance, with the rockers covering another iconic punk band, but the piece de resistance is what follows.

While Holland - wearing an AFI t-shirt - and friends appear on stage to perform legendary Ramones number 'I Wanna Be Sedated', the credits tell a different story. Noodles, Greg K and Ron Welty are credited as The Offspring, while Holland is simply known as "Band Lead Singer" - likely due to what follows his musical performance.

The aforementioned possessed hand decides to go after Band Lead Singer, and tear off his iconic blond locks, and consequently his entire scalp.
