10 Unlikely Film Cameos From Punk & Nu-Metal Musicians

4. Good Charlotte - Not Another Teen Movie

You may have noticed a pattern of sorts running through this list, and these movies if you've watched them. Many, many of the pop punk cameos are framed around the band turning up on stage to perform a song, usually being a cover version.

Well, Good Charlotte's cameo is no different, but fittingly so. Joel and Benji Madden's band turn up in parody movie 'Not Another Teen Movie' to rock out at the school prom with a cover of 'I Want Candy' alongside Chris Evans, Jaime Pressly, Lacey Chabert, Eric Christian Olsen, and Mr T.

The 2001 film was in fact the breakthrough role of Captain America's Chris Evans, parodying the likes of American Pie, Sixteen Candles, and Cruel Intentions, and playing on every trope and cliche from the teen movie and rom-com genres. Whether incidental or not, this is merely added to by the fact that Good Charlotte are simply credited as 'Prom Band' in the film.

That said, the movie's release was sandwiched in between the band's debut album and banger-filled breakthrough album The Young And The Hopeless - long before pop punk's most iconic twin brothers enjoyed mainstream success.
