10 Unluckiest MCU Characters

2. Peter Parker

Jeremy Renner Hawkeye
Marvel Studios

Even before he ever stepped out onto a Marvel Cinematic Universe screen, the young Peter Parker’s life had taken several turns for the worse. No child should ever have to suffer through the same amount of pain and loss as Peter did.

The story of Peter’s parents had remained unexplained in the MCU, but by the time he met Tony Stark at just 14 years old, potentially even years earlier, Peter had lost both his parents as well as the Uncle who took him in as his father figure. This should have been enough, but Peter just kept losing people.

He ultimately found a new father figure in Tony Stark, someone who he also had to watch die several years later. He then had his secret identity exposed, ruining his life, before seeing his Aunt May die leaving him to fend for himself, and having his girlfriend and best friend completely forget that they ever knew him.

All this, plus spending five years dead, for a kid who is yet to see his 20th birthday. Peter’s life has just been one tragedy after another.
