6. American Pie 2 (2001)
The original American Pie is probably regarded as the quintessential teen comedy. By no means a perfect film, the characters and situations were hilarious upon first viewing. The story was pretty much wrapped up too, so there didn't need to be a sequel. Oh, but there was. Seemingly, hundreds of them. It began with this film, American Pie 2. Another success at the box office, grossing$ 287,553,595 worldwide, it was nowhere near the quality of the original. It lacked the distinct charm that the first film had, which made the characters insufferable to watch. Combined with the fact that even though the characters were older, they hadn't matured in the slightest. This was another film on this list that lacked the originality of the first too, so it felt like we were watching American Pie all over again. The sequels after this one feel the same too, progressively becoming worse and worse. If you've never seen this movie franchise before, then do yourself a favour. Avoid anything but the first instalment.
