10 Unreleased Horror Movie Endings Fans Are Demanding To See

Friday the 13th Part III's theatrical ending sees Final Girl Chris (Dana Kimmell) seemingly killing Jason (Richard Brooker) with an axe to the head, and then falling asleep and having a nightmare of the big guy running towards her, before a decomposed visage of Jason's mother drags her into the lake.

Chris then wakes up and is escorted from Crystal Lake by the police, and that's that.

But the movie also lays claim to one of the most famous lost endings in horror history, where Chris falls asleep and dreams of herself being terrorised by Jason as in the theatrical cut, only this time he chops her head off with a machete.

This more grisly ending was apparently cut because the filmmakers felt it would be too depressing a note to end the movie on, no matter that Chris' death was merely a dream.

But in 2014, after more than 30 years of waiting, some still images from the scene were finally released, showing off both Chris' brutal demise and the original design for an unmasked Jason which was ultimately discarded.

While the ending is sadly considered lost today, in the very least fans have got a few pictures of it to savour.
