Most people probably forget that Gwyneth Paltrow even has an Oscar, right? To be fair, she probably shouldn't. Shakespeare in Love is light frothy fun but there's no reason she should have beaten Cate Blanchett in the much meatier role of Queen Elizabeth in Elizabeth.

But since she has the Academy Award, she should have at least used it to her advantage to get good roles in interesting films. Of course, Gwyneth being Gwyneth, she decided to do the exact opposite, signing up just a few short years later for the starring role in View from the Top. Which is, and this isn't exaggerating, an insult to women everywhere.

It's the super enthralling story of catty women who are fighting each other to get the best routes as flight attendants, backstabbing each other and playing dirty tricks to get ahead. It's not only unfunny (and it is marketed as a comedy), it's ugly and openly contemptuous of both its characters and the audience.
