10 Unspeakably Awful Films Made By Oscar Winners

4. Jack and Jill

Al Pacino Jack And Jill
Columbia Pictures

The fact that Adam Sandler makes movies like this and is still allowed to exist as a creative entity in Hollywood is bad enough. But absolutely the biggest crime here is that Al Pacino personally victimized audiences by appearing in it and...seeming to have a pretty good time?

This is not one of those halfhearted, embarrassed performances that you occasionally see from major stars, where they badly need money or their agent led them astray: this is a man who is having fun. There are some actors who can make this kind of movie and it doesn't register as so much as a blip on anyone's radar.

But Al Pacino, man...audiences know exactly the kind of performances he is capable of and the caliber of movie that he should by all rights be making, and he has the nerve to churn out this garbage? It's offensive, and quite frankly almost unforgivable.

People have lost careers over less, and it's only by the grace of god and the fact that he once appeared in a little franchise called The Godfather that no one still holds this against him.
