10 Unused Marvel Studios Concepts Which Need To Be Used In Future

2. Robotic Arnim Zola

Ant-Man kicked off with a flashback to Hank Pym's decision to leave S.H.I.E.L.D., and it was during that sequence fans got to see past versions of characters like Howard Stark and Peggy Carter. It was a cool glimpse into the Marvel Cinematic Universe's history, but there was very nearly another founding member of the spy organisation included in the scene.

Arnim Zola died shortly after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, but as The Winter Soldier revealed, he uploaded his consciousness into a sophisticated computer system.

Thanks to that, Ant-Man would have seen that comic book accurate version of Zola sitting alongside the likes of Howard and Peggy (still manipulating S.H.I.E.L.D. on behalf of HYDRA). This would have been awesome, but just like in The Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios left that idea on the cutting room floor.

With A.I.M. set to factor into The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Zemo taking aim at those heroes, now is surely the perfect time to pull the trigger on this robotic version of Zola returning to once again try and help HYDRA - or the group's successor - take over the world.
