10 Upcoming 2015 Movies That Won't Make Their Money Back
4. Trainwreck
Judd Apatow used to be the biggest name in comedy, and though he's still a major player within the genre (having created two of the best comedies of the last decade or so in The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up), his recent directorial efforts (Funny People and This Is 40) were met with mixed reviews. Trainwreck, his next movie, looks to be a little different in tone and execution. Makes sense, given that it was written by comedian Amy Schumer. Does it does it have what it takes to bring in a ton of money? Maybe not. Starring Schumer and the ever-likeable Bill Hader as her love interest, Trainwreck tells the story of a relationship-fearing woman who gets her kicks sleeping around not committing - until she meets somebody who causes her to change her mind. Generally speaking, audiences have been fed this story a zillion times, and it's odd to see Apatow mining such familiar territory. Unless, of course, there's more to Trainwreck than meets the eye. Granted, the budget isn't all that high (guess around $25 million), but there's still a real chance that this might fly completely under the radar. Positive word of mouth will be absolutely essential to the success of Trainwreck.
