10 Upcoming 2016 Movies You Should Really Give The Benefit Of The Doubt

8. It's Got More Fan-Pleasing Moments - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows

Release Date: June 3, 2016

The first instalment in the Michael Bay-produced live-action reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was so lacking that there is probably something wrong with you if you walked out of the cinema and didn't regret paying to see it.

Why, then, would anyone of a sound mind be willing to give this year's sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the benefit of the doubt?

Well, because - going by the new trailer, at least - this sequel genuinely appears to be the movie that the studio should have made the first time around. A balls to the wall action comedy, made with the fans firmly in mind - complete with all the essential elements that were missing in the original flick. All the stuff everybody wanted but didn't get to see back in 2014 has been shamelessly crammed into this movie (including Casey Jones!).

This results could be disastrous, of course, but the light-hearted tone felt in the trailer at least suggests a film set to to take itself way less seriously and therefore more likely to deliver the movie everyone wants (i.e. fan service). Maybe if we all just close our eyes and wish for it really hard, this could actually turn out to be an enjoyable ride.
