10 Upcoming 2016 Movies You Should Really Give The Benefit Of The Doubt

5. It's Got An Incredibly Talented Cast And Crew - Ghostbusters

Release Date: July 15, 2016

The world already hates the upcoming Ghostbusters remake with a passion. While some people are dumbfounded that the gender-swap casting (c'mon, this is 2016!), others have attacked the teaser trailer for being "completely unfunny."

Now it would be silly to suggest that the teaser makes the film look amazing, or that it sold the idea to you, it's still not enough to judge the entire movie on. Not when the film has been written and directed by Paul Feig, a guy who just made three solid comedy films in a row. Or that it stars Kristen Wiig, one of the finest comic actresses of her generation.

Is there a chance that, given how talented everyone involved with this reboot is, that they just made a sh*tty trailer? Or that they used as many jokes as they could without spoiling the film? Or better than that, even, that they saved all the best jokes for the movie?

It's possible, right? Why, of course it is!

On that basis alone, then, there's no reason to write off this movie just yet. Nobody expects it to top the original film anyway, so can't we all just let this be its own thing and wait until it comes out before we tear it shreds? Hey, it might - and probably will - surprise you.
