9. Underworld: Next Generation
The original Underworld sold itself on two equally compelling marketing points; vampires vs. werewolves and Kate Beckinsale in skin tight leather and rubber firing machine guns. Somehow theyve managed to make four movies out of that premise (though Beckinsale sat out the third entry) and 2016 will see the release of the fifth instalment Next Generation. The title alone seems to hint this could be Beckinsales final outing, which makes sense since she cant play an ageless character forever and she looked bored out of her damn mind in the fourth entry. Not much is known about the story, but at a stretch, it will be about the vampires facing off against another group of evil werewolves, and Selene bonding with her estranged daughter, who will probably don the catsuit if future entries are made. Bland hunk Theo James and the awesome Charles Dance will return from the previous entry, ensuring the convoluted mythology nobody cares about will at least be maintained.
