6. Jupiters Legacy
At this point, Mark Millar isn't even pretending that he's interested in comics. Having gotten the whiff of Hollywood (and the substantial paydays that came along with it) after the Kick-Ass and Wanted films, every new mini-series the Scottish writer has penned has been clearly geared towards a big-budget adaptation. It's where the real money is. What with the wealth Millar has already accumulated, however, and the popularity of his books, he gets some genuine talent on board with these books. Which is a shame, because their talents are most often wasted by uninspired stories and boring characters. Most galling was artist Frank Quitely working on Watchmen knock-off Jupiter's Children. Most things Mark Millar writes are Watchmen knock-offs to some degree, but Jupiter's Children is the worst hey, the kids of superheroes are messed up! Who'd'a thunk it?! And despite a Watchmen film already existing, Millar is apparently more personally invested in making a Jupiter's Legacy adaptation than any of his other comics.
