10 Upcoming Comic Book Films That Will Probably Be Terrible
5. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Now this one has already been the source of some mild consternation, but just look at the facts: Zack Snyder is directing it. Wait, that's probably not enough. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is a film where two characters that are principally for children fight each other in the rain after one asks the other if he can bleed. Fun for the whole family! It's a blockbuster that's been greenlit entirely because Warner Bros know that slapping BATMAN V SUPERMAN on a poster is guaranteed millions at the box office. It doesn't matter if people complain about Ben Affleck's casting, or the costume, or that Wonder Woman's in it, or any of those things. Can it possibly hope to be a good film, though? There seems to be way too much going on, casting-wise, but a whole two hours of scrapping suggests there wouldn't be enough going on. Coupled with Snyder's Man Of Steel being a grim, nihilistic wash of a movie and a story inspired by Frank Miller's fascism-friendly Dark Knight Returns... this is worrying.
