10 Upcoming Comic Book Movie Decisions That Have Already Angered Fans
4. Guillermo Del Toro's Dark Universe
Now this one is a little harder to explain. Guillermo Del Toro is one of the most talented directors working today, equally adept at creating spine-chilling horror (Pan's Labyrinth) and big-budget blockbuster thrills (Pacific Rim). Heck, he even combined them with his first couple of comic book adaptations in the form of the eternally underrated Hellboy films with Ron Perlman. Del Toro is a workaholic, a relentless ball of creative energy who spits out a million ideas a second and always seems to have multiple projects on the go. One such project he's been nattering about for ages is Justice League Dark, later renamed Dark Universe a project that has fans very, very excited. Teaming together the DC Universe's supernatural characters Swamp Thing, John Constantine, Zatanna etc the film would work as like a twisted counterpoint to Zack Snyder's upcoming Justice League film. What have fans got to be mad about here? That despite a script being in development, it wasn't on the Warner Bros slate, so they have no idea when it's coming out if at all.
