10 Upcoming Horror Movies With INCREDIBLE Plots

Though there is admittedly some hand-wringing about this adaptation of hit horror game Until Dawn largely ditching the game's own story, given the highly cinematic nature of the game already, there's something to be said for this movie striking out in another direction.

And to the credit of writers Blair Butler and Gary Dauberman, they've found quite the intriguing hook for the movie, which will strand its victims in a remote valley where, upon being murdered by the dangers lying in wait, they find themselves back at the start of the evening.

Each time the victims die, though, they end up facing off against a new set of dangers, and the only way to escape the time loop is to survive - wait for it - until dawn.

What it lacks in faithfulness to the source material it arguably compensates for with a neat time loop concept which gives the filmmakers enormous latitude to riff on a multitude of different horror genres. It's not going to please everyone, but for those who weren't much interested in seeing the game's movie-like story and presentation listlessly recycled in live-action form, it actually sounds pretty damn great.
