10 Upcoming Legacy Movie Sequels That Feel Inevitable

Almost 35 years on, Who Framed Roger Rabbit remains one of Hollywood's finest technological achievements ever: the live-action/animated hybrid to define them all, and a sure high point of director Robert Zemeckis' career (which is really saying something).

Following its mammoth box office success, Zemeckis made several attempts to produce a sequel, all of which eventually sputtered, even though Zemeckis has a completed script ready to go.

Back in 2018 Zemeckis felt that the sequel would likely never get made due to Disney's corporate culture at the time, though it's safe to say that a lot has changed in a few short years.

With Disney+ becoming far more of a stratospheric success than the company ever expected - currently counting 220+ million subscribers among its various platforms - it's easy to see how Roger Rabbit 2, a tricky theatrical sell, could be a ripe fit for streaming.

After all, with the recent success of meta live-action/animated hybrid Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers on Disney+ - which Roger Rabbit himself even had a small cameo in - has the environment ever been more conducive to making Roger Rabbit 2 finally happen?

Just keep a CGI Bob Hoskins out of it please, Robert.
