10 Upcoming Movie Reboots That Might Actually Work

Can you believe it's been 17 whole years since Blade: Trinity came out and firebombed the IP overnight? The film's critical and commercial under-performance killed the prospect of any further sequels, and by 2012 the rights reverted back to Marvel Studios.

By 2013, rumours ran rampant that a new movie was being developed for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with original star Wesley Snipes even throwing his own improbable hat in the ring to reprise his role.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2019, the MCU Blade film was formally confirmed, along with two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali's spot-on casting as the Daywalker.

Earlier this year Emmy nominee Stacy Osei-Kuffour was announced to be writing the script, though it's safe to say that Kevin Feige and company won't be rushing this one out the door, so don't expect it to materialise for at least a few years yet.

Though the reality that Blade will probably receive a PG-13 rating is certainly a little disappointing given the character's nature, it'd be mighty foolish to bet against Feige and the MCU at this point.
