6. X-Men: Days Of Future Past (8 years)
Previous Release: X-Men: The Last Stand, released May 2006.
The Sequel: X-Men: Days of Future Past, penciled in for released in May 2014, 8 years after the last "regular" X-Men film. Though we have had the surprisingly entertaining prequel X-Men: First Class since then, and this movie
is a sequel to that, more intriguingly, it intends to serve as a sequel also to The Last Stand, hopefully rectifying the litany of issues that director Brett Ratner saddled it with. However, after 8 years, hadn't we all sort of given up hope on that fact? Don't get me wrong, having Bryan Singer at the helm is definitely an enticing prospect, but the guy's last 3 films (Superman Returns, Valkyrie and Jack the Giant Slayer) have straight-up underwhelmed, and it seems that since Ratner had a stab at the franchise, Singer's chops might have taken a hit (that or he's just had bad luck with scripts). Still, isn't it going to be kinda weird bringing these characters back after almost a decade, by which point most viewers likely won't even remember what the Hell they were doing last time.
