Cutting right to the chase, The Last Witch Hunter is a horrible film, wasting its nifty premise surrounding an immortal witch hunter, Kaulder, who tracks down and kills unruly magic users.

Like Bright 2, a sequel was in the works before the first film even hit cinemas, but due to how badly the original performed, the follow-up soon went dark. However, in 2020, star Vin Diesel confirmed that it was still in the works, revealing that Lionsgate was "actively creating" The Last Witch Hunter 2.

Why It Isn't Wanted

Remember how we said that Vin Diesel consistently tries to turn unpopular movies into successful franchises? Well, here's another example.

The Last Witch Hunter has one of the worst Rotten Tomatoes ratings of any movie we've mentioned on this list, with an abysmal 18% critic score, and a not-much-better 43% audience score. The people spoke, it didn't pan out, so you'd think that Lionsgate and Diesel would be savvy enough to let this one go, right?

Well, apparently not. Not to hate on Diesel too much, but it's been proven time and time again that he isn't much of a draw outside the Fast & Furious movies - as proven by flops like Babylon A.D., the aforementioned Chronicles Of Riddick, and Bloodshot - and on the whole, The Last Witch Hunter just isn't a brand that people care about.
