10 Upcoming Movie Trailers That Are Probably Tricking You
6. The Third Act Hasn't Been Shown Yet - Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
After Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's original teaser dropped back in early December, co-writer Colin Trevorrow made a point of saying that it didn't show anything past the first 57 minutes of the movie, after some fans felt like it may have given away the third act.
Accepting that the film will run around 120 minutes in length, that's not even half of it shown off. Though the new Super Bowl trailer did feature more extensive glimpses of action, it still feels like a large chunk of the movie is being held back from the marketing.
The new trailer shows a dinosaur being airlifted from the island, presumably to the mainland, and so it seems probable that the final 30-40 minutes of the film may pull a Lost World and have dinosaurs rampaging around a major American city.
After all, though we do see a young girl being stalked in her bedroom by the Indoraptor in the Super Bowl trailer, it's ambiguous whether this is in living quarters on Isla Nublar or, indeed, the U.S. mainland.
If Universal is smart, they'll keep this smoke-screen up until the film releases, because not knowing where it's all going is the best chance it has to reel in those who disliked Jurassic World.
