10 Upcoming Movies NOBODY Actually Wants To See
7. Thomas The Tank Engine
Depending on when you grew up, there's a good chance you probably have fond memories of Thomas The Tank Engine (of course, if you're a parent, you might hate it more than anything). While the TV series made for entertaining viewing for kids, the movies which have been made over the years have been abysmal, and now another "live-action" project is in the works.
This one comes from World War Z director Marc Forster, the same filmmaker who delivered a grim and depressing take on Winnie the Pooh and company in Christopher Robin. He's also responsible for Quantum of Solace, so it's not like there's a lot to be excited about here.
Mattel Films is backing this one, while the screenplay was panned by Alyssa Hill and Jesse Wigutow.
Thomas has been running on fumes on television for a long time now, so it's hard to imagine a movie being able to stoke his fire and make the character relevant again. By today's standards, a talking group of trains is pretty dated, and while some nostalgic parents might take their kids to see it, there's definitely no real demand for the franchise to return to cinemas.
