10 Upcoming Movies That Have Been Overhyped Out Of Proportion

7. Need For Speed (Release: 14 March 2014)

Need For Speed Movie 2014 Trailer Aaron Paul 600x300 I remember reading an article once that spoke about why a movie on Grand Theft Auto wouldn't really work due to certain limitations that are created by it being a game. The same limitations ought to apply to a movie based on the game Need for Speed too. In fact, they ought to apply to a higher degree because the game, well, was about driving cars really fast, which, as a plot, probably won't be bought by any major production company. But turns out it was, and what's more €“ they got Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul to sign up for it. Fast cars are reason enough movie to be blown out of the roof. Add Aaron Paul to the broth and you've got an explosion the size of Nagasaki. However, at a more nostalgic level, the hype also seems to have been created by those who grew up playing the game and saw it evolve from the 1994 Need for Speed to whatever it is called now. It is rather understandable, really. But after the million blazing wheels have already scorched the screens, it isn't quite.

I'm Saahil from India and no, I don't own an elephant. I write. I think P. G. Wodehouse might just be the greatest author of all times. Manhattan was definitely Woody Allen's masterpiece (yes, over Annie Hall). The Shawshank Redemption is overrated. I love debating. I've always dreamed of shooting zombies with a sawed-off during an apocalypse. I own a dog. The Sixth Sense was a fluke. Sheldon Cooper is probably the worst TV character right now. I play table tennis. I am socially awkward. I don't know how to end this. My editor's probably going to cream me for this. But, whatever.
