10 Upcoming Movies That Could Beat Avengers: Endgame At The Box Office

Of all the upcoming movies that have a shot to top Endgame's box office, there is a good chance Marvel Studios will produce it. As there have been no word on any upcoming Avengers movies, the best option is the Black Panther Sequel.

Black Panther is not only Marvel's most critically-acclaimed film in its catalog, it has the highest domestic gross of any comic book film to date, including Avengers: Infinity War. The film collected $1.3 billion dollars worldwide, which is more than any solo superhero film ever.

There is reason to believe the sequel could top the original financially. Every stand alone sequel in the MCU has out grossed the movie that preceded it. The intertwined nature of these films allow audiences get to know characters outside of their own individual outings, which could help their ticket performance in the future.

Black Panther was also a largely isolated story. This probably helped the movie resonate with new viewers and critics, but didn't do much to progress the MCU. With the conclusion of Endgame, Black Panther figures to have a larger role in how this universe is crafted and will become more essential for fans to see.

Marvel Studios have always managed to top themselves at the box office, so there will eventually be a more successful movie than Endgame. Until we get word on any future Avengers movies, Black Panther 2 is the best candidate.
