The box office community on the internet has imploded this past week with the underwhelming opening weekend of Godzilla: King of the Monsters versus the early buzz and higher money totals it was expected to earn, truly showing how flippant the world of box office tracking can be.

With the lukewarm critical reception of each movie in this monsterverse and the slow deterioration of box office returns with every release, we may see Godzilla VS Kong take a dip that far exceeds the production budget it was set based on its early hype and expectations.
