8. Inside Out
Obviously the most interesting-looking movie to come out of Pixar for ages (no more sequels, guys!), Inside Out - on the surface, at least - appears to have all the makings of an animated classic. And given that it's rumoured to be the movie that will bring Pixar back into the limelight as the greatest animation studio on the planet, there's a good chance that Inside Out could end up garnering 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Inside Out, then, clings to a downright barmy and hugely ambitious premise: the majority of the movie is set inside the head of a young girl, and the main characters - aside from said girl, Riley Anderson, and her parents - are made up of different emotions, who happen to be Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness. Try to get your head around that one (excuse the pun). Featuring the voice talents of Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan and John Ratzenberger (check out that cast), directed by Pete Docter (who brought Monsters Inc. and Up) and written by Michael Arndt, who wrote Toy Story 3, what else do you need to know? Considering Pixar's track record, greatness awaits.
