10 Upcoming Movies That Have Already Ignored Massive Mistakes

7. Doing Spin-Offs/Team-Ups The Wrong Way - Suicide Squad

The Lesson: The Avengers Meanwhile what DC don't seem to realise about spin-offs and a unified universe is that they have to commit entirely if they're going to copy the MCU's model for global market domination. To their credit, they started well with Man Of Steel, but unfortunately low box office returns meant they had to accelerate their unified narrative plans. Instead of aiming for an event movie bringing together all of the Justice League characters after their own movies, DC have played their cards early, hoping that the distraction of the hype of bringing Batman and Superman together will hide the concerns over narrative, build-up and having too many elements at play. Unfortunately for them, Marvel had the right idea, and their approach of putting the horses before the cart was a far smarter move, not least because it gives longevity and ensures they can't just scrap everything if the first movie fails.
