1. Moana
As said before, the masses by and large are fed up with live-action Disney remakes. Why keep producing the same things you've made before when you could tell genuinely great new stories like Encanto? Not every successful Disney movie needs a remake or a sequel, but as long as they keep bringing in the cash, of course they will continue to be produced.
In some regards, you can at least understand the logic. The 'live-action' Jungle Book offered visual effects the original couldn't have even dreamed of, while some of the older and more outdated Disney princesses could do with being brought into the modern world.
However, there is absolutely no excuse for Disney to already be working on a live-action version of Moana. Yes, it is an incredibly popular movie, and Moana herself is arguably the strongest and most compelling of all the Disney princesses, but it only released seven years ago.
The demand for a live-action Moana at this point feels scant, and the fact that Dwayne Johnson will return without Auli'i Cravalho reprising her titular role hasn't done anything to help.
