2. Batman Vs. Superman
Comic Con is normally a vapid weekend where slightly new footage of big blockbusters destined for disappointment are shown to an audience of super fans who simultaneously influence the internets view on a film, but have little overall box office impact. Not this year. Along with all that, we got a shocking piece of news that cemented 2015 as the most anticipated years in film ever. Batman Vs. Superman is coming.
Why it could be rubbish: Well, first and foremost, Man Of Steel was rubbish, in a this is just two and a half hours of fake character development and buildings being smashed with little attention paid to anyone other than its bland hero way. Those trailers turned out to be barefaced lies; Nolan could hardly be felt in the film and Snyder delivered the same tat he always does. In a way BvS is a relief; there wont be a straight up sequel. But given that this film version of Worlds Finest is likely intended to build up to the much mooted Justice League movie, theres the danger Warner Bros. are trying to build a mansion on shoddy foundations. Which for those of you no au fait with construction, isn't a strong idea. Marvels way of doing The Avengers worked well because it was planned. DCs seem to be rushing to try and catch up, constantly changing their minds until something sticks; it was originally rumoured we were getting a Justice League movie in 2015. I have low hopes for a film likely rushed together and more concerned with whats to come, than whats there (please dont let this be the Iron Man 2 of DCs world). Ultimately, the fact Snyders returning and were in the unrealistic, millions can die and we dont care world has me turned off.
