10 Upcoming Movies That Will Change Your Mind About Actors
2. Deadpool - Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds isn't exactly struggling for good will: despite making some serious stinkers over his career, he's a likeable figure who never seems to suffer a drop in castability in the wake of a flop.
That's good news for fans of Deadpool, who should recognise that Reynolds is the best man for the role (despite X-Men Origins: Wolverine). Finally given the opportunity to fix the sins of the first movie version of the character, Reynolds also has a chance to prove that he's not actually the comic book movie poison he seems.
He's already been part of four terrible outings in Green Lantern, Blade Trinity, RIPD and Wolverine (and one middling affair in Paperman, sort of), and hopefully Deadpool stops the rot.
Will It Last?
Hopefully. There is massive potential in the expanded X-Men universe, and the possibility of seeing some of the darker, anti-hero teams like X-Force with Deadpool involved is a mouth-watering one.
So, there's a lot riding on Deadpool: not just for Reynolds as a comic book movie actor, but also for Fox's plans to rival the MCU.
