10 Upcoming Movies Which Are Already Doomed

If past outcomes are the most reliable predictor of future outcomes, then it's almost never a good sign when a film is repeatedly delayed and spends years on the shelf after principal photography is completed. And that's precisely the issue with Animal Friends, an R-rated live-action-animated hybrid starring Ryan Reynolds and Jason Momoa as two fugitive animals(!) who journey across America to return home, while being pursued by DEA agents played by Aubrey Plaza and Dan Levy.

The film began production all the way back in June 2023 and wrapped shooting in April 2024, with an original release date set for August 15, 2025. However, its release has since been pushed four times, most recently being set for January 22, 2027. And because that's not sus enough, original distributor Sony Pictures Releasing ended up dropping Animal Friends, with Warner Bros. later picking it up.

This just screams "troubled production" in every fiber of its being, and with the film being both an expensive adventure romp and adult-skewing, its prospects of commercial success are extremely dim.
