10 Upcoming Movies With INSANE Budgets

9. The Adventures of Cliff Booth ($200 Million)

David Fincher and Brad Pitt are currently busy shooting The Adventures of Cliff Booth - the surprise sequel to Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and it will see the legendary filmmaker command his biggest budget to date.

Reports indicate that the price tag will be around $200 million by the time production is finished, blowing past the $167 million budget of Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

This is an especially eyebrow-raising number given that Tarantino's original film cost a far more reasonable $96 million - more than doubling the budget for a sequel being made six years later seems absolutely wild.

Then again, Fincher's exacting filmmaking style never comes cheap, and if all the principal players are getting some fat upfront paychecks, the numbers will fast start adding up.

Nobody's doubting that Fincher's film will look fantastic and absolutely bleed quality from every pore, but is a period dramedy in the vein of its predecessor really going to look like $200 million was spent on it?
