10 Upcoming Movies With TERRIBLE CGI

8. Kraven The Hunter

Expectations aren't exactly high for Kraven the Hunter, but in line with Sony's more modestly budgeted superhero movies as of late, its VFX elements are looking to be a blurry, gaudy mess.

As Argylle's trailer proves, digital animals aren't exactly easy to pull off, and with Kraven's more limited price tag, it's especially challenging.

As a result, there's a plastic-y artificiality to its various CGI creatures, most of all the lion which attacks a young Kraven in a flashback. It's not quite Leonardo DiCaprio being mauled by a bear in The Revenant now, is it?

But the worst shot in the trailer has less to do with animals - it's the hilariously iffy glimpse of a drop of blood dripping from the lion's mouth in slow-motion into one of Kraven's wounds, triggering his superheroic transformation.

Visually it looks straight out of a superhero movie from the early 2000s, which is perhaps appropriate given that it's sharing franchise space with equally dated fare like Venom and Morbius.
