2. Ant-Man - Steven Price

Release Date: July 17, 2015 One could certainly argue that Steven Price's score helped to make Gravity into the truly stunning and transcendent experience that it ultimately was - he successfully managed to create a soundtrack that synced perfectly with Alfonso Cuaron's immense, space-based visuals, and in the movie's best track - titled "Gravity" would you believe? - brought a sense of pure, unbridled nature and discovery to the last scene, which helped mark the movie as a modern classic. Price won an Oscar for Best Original Score on Sunday, of course, beating out the likes of veteran composer John Williams, who has enough Oscars anyway, so that's okay. The good news is that Price will be composing the original score for Edgar Wright's upcoming Marvel movie adaptation of Ant-Man (with Paul Rudd!), so we can absolutely look forward to seeing what great things he can bring to a cinematic universe where the music can often be a little bland.
