10 Upcoming Movies You Won't Believe Actually Got Made

8. Escape Plan: The Extractors

The Pitch: In the third entry into the Sylvester Stallone-starring action franchise, the daughter of a Hong Kong tech executive is kidnapped along with Ray Breslin's (Stallone) own partner, forcing him and his team (Dave Bautista, 50 Cent) to rescue them from a massive prison known as Devil's Station. The villain, meanwhile, is played by Final Destination's Devon Sawa. Right.

Honestly, you'd be forgiven for not knowing that there was even a first sequel to 2013's Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring Escape Plan, let alone a second.

Escape Plan 2: Hades was quietly dumped on VOD last year to near-universal critical disdain and apparent commercial failure, but handily, this threequel had already been shot.

Quite how hard-up Stallone and Bautista are that they're working on movies like this when they've got Creed/Rambo and Avengers pay-days respectively is anyone's guess, but like the previous film, it's quite probable their screen time will be kept to a minimum.

Escape Plan: The Extractors is due for a theatrical release in Russia this June, and will likely be piped into VOD platforms worldwide around the same time.
