6. Jay & Silent Bob Reboot

The Pitch: After plans for a "Bluntman and Chronic" movie reboot are set in motion, Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) once again travel to Hollywood to stop it from being made.

Kevin Smith announces so many projects that never come to fruition - like Mallrats 2, Clerks 3 and Moose Jaws - that it's sensible never to get too excited about a Smith joint until it's finally in the can.

Well, his Jay and Silent Bob Reboot wrapped late last month after a brisk 21-day shoot, and going by the few plot details we know, it seems primed to be a gloriously meta reboot-sequel that deconstructs the very notion of Hollywood's obsession with reboots.

Despite the evidently low budget, the cast for this thing is insane, with many Askewniverse regulars returning, including Shannon Elizabeth, Brian O'Halloran, Jason Lee, Joey Lauren Adams, Smith's wife Jennifer Schwalbach, Justin Long, Rosario Dawson, Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek and Diedrich Bader.

In addition to all this fan service, cameos have been confirmed for the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Jericho, Craig Robinson, Joe Manganiello, David Dastmalchian, Kate Micucci, Molly Shannon, Method Man, Redman and many more.

Though it's entirely possible this film will get overly carried away with being a shameless nostalgia trip, that'll likely be music to the ears of Smith's fans, who haven't exactly had much prime material to enjoy in recent years.
