7. Coming To America 2

A whole THIRTY years after the original was released, we're getting a Coming To America sequel that will reunite Eddie Murphy with co-star Arsenio Hall and follow-up on the story of Prince Akeem (presumably now King Akeem?).

The problem for the sequel is that, on paper, nobody gets excited about Eddie Murphy movies in 2019 unless they have Shrek in the title. Even after he was the best thing about Dreamgirls, he didn't have the expected career revival and he's generated more column inches for his relationship with a Spice Girl than he has for movies.

That said, he does have his Dolemite movie coming, which should go some way to restoring faith in him as an actor, and Coming To America is one of his very best. The brief synopsis also sounds good, especially as it confirms Murphy will also play the villain - a General Izzi, described as "the warlike ruler of 'Nextdoooria,' an adjacent nation suffering from extreme poverty. He wants to gain power in Zamunda and will do almost anything to achieve it."
