Speaking of 80s fantasy movies and they don't get more classic that The Goonies - if there was one film which summed up the spirited, adventurous nature of action-packed family movies then Richard Donner's movie fits the bill perfectly. Reuniting the cast after all these years has been a rough ride, but finally everyone seems to be back on board, with Steven Spielberg, Richard Donner and Chris Columbus all involved in the production. Donner's keen to direct, and currently the only real problem - and it's a pretty big one - is the lack of a decent script. The fact that all parties involved in the original are not only keen for The Goonies 2 to go ahead but are being very cautious about getting it right can only instill hope and enthusiasm for fans - the last thing they need is another Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull... Anticipation factor: Childhood memories are on the line here and expectations are sky high, but having the original cast and crew on board suggests we're in safe hands. Release date: currently unknown
