9. Steve Buscemi - Billy Madison
Steve Buscemi is one of those actors better known for his cameos and backing roles than for his centre stage appearances. His bug-eyed complexion hasnt always lent itself to a career as a Hollywood poster boy. Its only recently with the success of the television series Boardwalk Empire, that Buscemi has become the leading man his talent deserves. Of his numerous bit part characters, a large proportion have fallen under Adam Sandlers filmography of comedies. Big Daddy, The Wedding Singer, Mr. Deeds, the list goes on. My personal favourite came in Sandlers semi-coming-of-age comedy Billy Madison. In one scene, Sandlers Madison calls up all the people he had bullied years ago in high school, to offer an apology. One former classmate, Buscemis Danny McGrath, responds casually back down the phone with, yeh sure, dont worry about it. As he hangs up, Buscemi turns to a list of people on the wall entitled PEOPLE TO KILL. He crosses Madisons name off, proceeds in applying red lipstick, and lies back on the couch with a satisfied grin, as the Electric Light Orchestras Telephone Lines plays coolly in the background. MENTAL.
