10 Valentine's Horror Films That Will Make You Glad To Be Single

6. Love Object

The first thing to take from this film is ARGH IT'S QUINN FROM DEXTER. Quinn (known as Kenneth in the film) is not the studly hunk-muffin that we're used to, although he's still pretty fit. He actually spends the majority of the film being an adorable weirdo and, aside from terrifying flashes where he believes his sex doll is alive, the first hour of this film is a pretty cute romance. As one may expect, this did not last. Kenneth (Desmond Harrington) gives a splendid turn from adorable but socially-awkward loser to absolutely terrifying psychopath. Kenneth is a man who loses the ability to distinguish between reality and fantasy, as he tells Lisa about his sex doll ex-girlfriend, "just because she's not alive doesn't mean she's not real!" (Although, this is kind of true). As the film progresses and Kenneth loses it bit by bit (getting less fit, you might want to know) we slowly realise the full extent of his madness. A strange film but, without giving too much away, the ending is just brilliant. Love Object goes from being quite nice to horrifying, and definitely one that will put you off dating for a while.

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
