10 Video Game Movies Better Than Warcraft
3. Ace Attorney
Because it's in Japanese and didn't get a substantial release outside of Japan, most gamers don't even realise that an adaptation of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney actually exists, but it does, and it's pretty damn good, too.
Sure, it's far, far too long at 135 minutes, but legendary director Takashi Miike brings the requisite silliness and visual thrills to make this one of the more faithful video game movies ever made.
While the goofiness won't be for everyone, the game performances and sheer go-for-broke attitude make it a must-see for any fans of the games. As for everyone else? They might even get a kick out of it, too.
Why It's Better Than Warcraft: It embraces its silliness far more eagerly than Warcraft, which for the most part shrugs it off in favour of a depressingly self-serious treatment that just doesn't work.
