10 Video Game Movies That Were Truly Terrible

5. Ratchet & Clank (2016)

Mortal Kombat Annihilation
Insomniac

Like many of the game developer Insomniac's characters, Ratchet & Clank are incredibly lovable. Unfortunately, the charm and fun of these characters was not brought to life in the film medium and instead the title felt like a collection of TV episodes which were compiled into a lacklustre film.

The film starred Sylvester Stallone, John Goodman and James Arnold Taylor, but despite a solid cast and a video game accompanying it, not many enjoyed the title. A great deal of the criticism surrounding the film was directed at a lack of original content. Many found this film to be a disappointing venture that did not build on the Ratchet and Clank story enough to leave a lasting impression.

Despite fans not being happy with Ratchet and Clank's escapades to stop Chairman Drek, the unlikely heroes are returning for more video games. This will undoubtedly please fans who want to see Ratchet and Clank in their rightful home, the console.

While this was a cinematic effort that never seemed to have the ambition to make it a hit, it certainly could have been worse. This is evidenced by the other terrible video game adaptation which was released in 2016.

Whether its Nic Cage films or any game that's easy to pick up it's my kind of entertainment.
