10 Villains For The Spider-Man Reboot (And How To Use Them)
9. Shocker
Ive always wondered why Shocker chose his name. The guy sounds like his ability is something going down a plastic slide on a hot day and then chasing after your little sister and giving her a zap with your finger. But, Shocker doesnt even have electrical powers; he has a pair of gauntlets that contain vibro-shock units known as vibro-smashers that can project a concentrated blast of compressed air that vibrates at an intense frequency. Oh, now I get it; Shocker is a lot more appropriate than Vibrator. A brilliant engineer and inventor, Shocker (aka Herman Schultz) decided that he would use his intellect to rob banks instead of, you know, making millions with his inventions. Proving that beginners luck exists, Shocker actually even managed to beat Spider-Man the first time that they tussled, due to the Wall Crawler having a sprained arm, the kryptonite to heroes everywhere. How He Could Work In The Marvel Studio's Reboot: Because Shocker has the design of an oven mitt and the powers of a sex toy, he would be suited more as an appetizer for the main course. Marvels new Spider-Man has been confirmed to have already been around for a while, which is great, because if I have to suffer through another Spidey origin story then Im going to put nine inch nails through each of one my eyelids. Shocker could be just another super villain that Spider-Man strings up on his way home from school. Having Shocker as a minor villain in the film will not only give the audience an early opportunity to see their hero go up against a super powered threat, but the D-list Shocker is a smorgasbord of jokes just waiting to be said and, if theres one thing we can take from Garfields Spider-Man, its that theres nothing more fun than hearing Spidey crack wise while cracking skulls.
